Overview

The following error occurs when running Configuration Wizard during an upgrade from NCM v7.3 to v7.4:

Config Wizard failed [Error while executing script- Invalid object name 'dbo.NCM_DeviceTemplates']

Cause

The NCM tables from the Orion Database have different dbo owners (schema).

Resolution

Use an SA account when running the Configuration Wizard or an account that has the permissions listed in the Fix the required permission to the database issue in configuration wizard article.
You can drop this view - NCM_Nodes and run the Configuration Wizard again to recreate that view.

Notes:

There were cases where dropping those tables with different dbo owners then running the configuration wizard worked but some cases it did not.

You may receive another error when you get past the original error in the configuration wizard of: Exception while configuring plugin SolarWinds NCM Integration Plugin Component Orion Database Update. Invalid Object Name 'NCM_Nodes'
