Clearing Scan Jobs via Database Manager for IPAM

This article shows how to clear IPAM ScanJobs via Database Manager on the Orion Server.

Overview

If IPAM Scan Jobs need to be cleared, the IPAM_ScanInstance table needs to be cleared while services are stopped. This is also a way to determine if scanning is working as expected by starting from a fresh table.

Resolution

  1. Connect to the Orion Server.
  2. Open Orion Service Manager from the Start menu and select Shutdown Everything to stop the services.
  3. Open Database Manager.
  4. Look for [IPAM_ScanInstance] table.
  5. Run the below query to show all running scans.

  6. Click "Enable Table Editing."

  7. Highlight all running scans results.
  8. Once highlighted right-click them and click Delete the selected rows.

  9. Select Start Everything in Orion Service Manager.
  10. IPAM Scan jobs in the Orion Web Console should be empty now.
Note:
If there is an Overdue scan and you would like to remove them, you can sort the status column for Status = 2.
