Check the number of available component monitors in my SAM license

Two types of SAM licenses are available -- node-based or component-based licensing. This article describes how to check the number of available component monitors in a component-based SAM license.

Overview

As described in the SAM Licensing model , two types of licenses are available for SolarWinds SAM: node-based licensing and component-based licensing.

This article applies to SAM environments that use component-based licensing; it explains how to check the number of available component monitors that are available in your license.

To see the available component monitors remaining in your SAM license:

  1. Log into the Orion Web Console with an administrator account.
  2. Click Settings > All Settings > SAM Settings.
  3. Click the SAM Settings link in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Click SAM License Summary.
