How to change the status and response time from SNMP to ICMP in Orion

The steps below outlined how to change status and response poller from SNMP to ICMP (vice versa).

Overview

You may see packet loss when status and response time poller is using SNMP. Changing it to ICMP will resolve the issue. See the How Orion calculates the polling response time using SNMP and ICMP article for further information.

Resolution

Identify the node affected.
Select "List Resource" [on STATUS & RESPONSE TIME].
Select ICMP instead of SNMP or SNMP instead of ICMP > click Submit.
Click Poll Now and verify the result of the changes made.
