Resolution

To verify the current Config Archive location(s):

  1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
  2. Go to Settings > NCM Settings > Config Archive Folder Locations.
  3. To change location click link in relevant  Source:
    1. Settings - Config-Archive Directory - will bring you to Configs and allow changing global (system wide) location
    2. Jobs - <JOB TITLE> - will bring you to the configuration of the Export Configs type of job and allow changing location for the particular job

If using network share as Config Archive location, make sure to add user account which has permissions to write to the network share. To add credentials:

  1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
  2. Go to Settings > NCM Settings > Advanced Settings.
  3. Add credentials in the Network Share Settings section:
    1. Credentials need to have read/write access all the way down file level.
    2. If in different domains, proper trusts (2-way) need to have been established.
  4. If you can validate the credentials from Configs tab, from each poller the share can be used.
