Hardware thresholds can be enabled, disabled, or modified via the Manage Hardware Sensors screen. From this screen, you can hover over any node to view the detailed tooltip.

Clicking any node in the list will take you to the Details page for that node. All hardware that can be monitored is enabled by default.

To change the thresholds, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the web console, navigate to Settings > Manage Hardware Sensors.
  2. To enable/disable objects from being monitored, check the boxes for the objects, then click either Enable or Disable.
  3. To modify hardware thresholds, check the boxes for the objects, then click Edit Thresholds.
  4. Choose from the following three options:
    1. Use Orion defaults: Use the built-in Orion logic for translating sensor reading to status.
    2. Force to Up: Ignore sensor readings when calculating status. The status is always Up.
    3. Set custom thresholds: Create your own logic for mapping sensor readings to Orion status.
Note: Threshold modification may not be available for certain objects where information is not available.
    4. Complete the logic form for both the Warning threshold and the Critical threshold as needed to satisfy your requirements.
  5. When done, click Submit
