Change the Orion Web Console name to match the FQDN in the Orion Platform

Steps for Orion Platform 2016.1 and later 

  1. In the Orion Web Console, go to Settings > Web Console Settings.
  2. In the Orion Web Server Address section, enter the URL of the Orion Web interface used in alert macros.

When you update this field, you do not have to directly modify the database directly.

Steps for Orion Platform 2015.1.3 and earlier 

Note: Before doing any work on your database please make sure that you have a current backup as this will make a permanent change to your database.

  1. Go to Start > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager
  2. Click Add default server.
  3. Right-click on SolarWindsOrion database and select New query.
  4. Open Websites table, then click Enable table editing in top menu.
  5. Change the value of Server Name to FQDN.
  6. Change the columns Port and SSLEnabled to the same as your IIS binding
  7. You might need to stop and start Solarwinds Information services
