Change location of logs in Kiwi Syslog Server - Legacy

This article provides steps on how to change the location of logs in the Kiwi Syslog Server. By default, all messages are captured to SyslogCatchAll.txt in C:\Program Files (x86)\Syslogd\Logs.

Overview

There are instances in that you would like to save the logs in a different location like a different drive or a network share. As by default, all messages are captured to SyslogCatchAll.txt in C:\Program Files (x86)\Syslogd\Logs.

Resolution

  1. In your Kiwi Syslog Server navigate to File > Setup.
  2. Under Rules, click on Log to file. From here, you can change the Path and file name of the log file.
  3. Apply new settings.
