Change location of logs in Kiwi Syslog Server NG

This article provides steps on how to change the location of logs in the Kiwi Syslog Server NG. By default, all messages are captured to Logs\SyslogCatchAll-$Message.DateISO.txt

Overview

There are instances in which you would like to save the logs in a different location like a different drive. By default, all messages are captured to Logs\SyslogCatchAll-$Message.DateISO.txt  (C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\KiwiSyslogService\logs)

Resolution

  1. From the Kiwi Syslog Server NG console, navigate to Setup.
  2. Under Rules, select the corresponding rule, select the Log to File Action
  3. Click Edit
  4. From the Relative path and file name of the log file, make the desired change
