Change SMI-S credentials in Storage Resource Monitor

When adding an SMI-S provider to SRM via the Add SMI-S Provider option in the Add Storage Device wizard, and a change is needed (for example: password) as the values cannot be changed via the Add SMI-S Provider option once they are saved.

Overview

Resolution

Do the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Go to Settings > Manage Storage Objects.

  • Click the Credentials tab.

2. Select the credential name to be edited.

  • Click the Edit Credential button.

3. The Enter New Credentials box will appear in the next screen.

  • From there, users can change the parameters used by SRM for communicating with the SMI-S provider.
