Cattools fails to create a backup config with no errors

Cattools does not create a device backup running config but info log and debug logs shows configs are called and exits with no errors

Overview

Cattools is used to create network device backup configurations for network archive purposes. However in some cases Cattools fails to create a backup with no errors even from debug and info log file.

Cause

Issue caused by a corrupted Activity.

Resolution

Open the Kiwi Cattools console
Recreate the Activity
Test to confirm if the new activity now creates a backup
Once confirmed that the new activity creates a backup delete the old corrupted activity
