Alternative to FTP or SFTP logging with SEM

Using FTP or SFTP protocol to send logs to SEM is not currently supported.

This article provides an alternative to FTP logging in Security Event Manager (formerly Log & Event Manager).

Resolution

There is no FTP service in SEM capable of receiving high volumes of logs from a device. However, certain devices such as Checkpoint OPSEC have unique connectors which communicate via encrypted link.
It is important to share the device model with SolarWinds Customer Support so they can check for an existing connector.
If your vendor recommends FTP for logging, then you should provide a link to the relevant documentation.
