Overview

In 2024, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) published a security bulletin about CVE-2024-29736 (© 2025 National Institute of Standards and Technology, available at nvd.nist.gov, obtained on January 10, 2025).

An SSRF vulnerability in WADL service description in versions of Apache CXF before 4.0.5, 3.6.4 and 3.5.9 allows an attacker to perform SSRF style attacks on REST webservices. The attack only applies if a custom stylesheet parameter is configured.

CVE-2024-29736

Resolution

DPA does not use a custom stylesheet parameter. DPA uses only the default configuration of Apache CXF. Therefore, DPA is not vulnerable to CVE-2024-29736.
