Overview

While it may seem possible to import nodes into groups using a CSV or other file types, SolarWinds does not support importing group members via CSV or similar files. Instead, the only supported method for bulk group creation is by using dynamic queries that match node attributes.

Cause

SolarWinds Platform does not support importing group members directly from CSV or other file formats.

Resolution

Use dynamic queries to create and populate groups based on node attributes.
Dynamic queries allow you to define criteria that automatically assign nodes to groups without manual import.
