Overview

When running a backup config activity in Cattools, you may need to have the configurations in Set or XML format for Palo Alto devices.

Resolution

  1. Upgrade Kiwi Cattools to 3.11.5 or later for the device script.

  2. Go to the Device > Extra Info, and type xml or set in the Activity Specific2 field.

  3. Run the Activity.


Note: Cattools saves the configuration as a .TXT extension.  To use it in XML format, open the config file in a text editor and save the files as  .XML, such as Config1.xml.
