Overview

The configurations within Kiwi Web Access are stored in System.sdf file. This article describes where you can find the System.sdf file.

Moreover, instead of just creating a backup copy of the System.sdf file, it is recommended to create a backup copy of the whole App_Data folder where the System.sdf is located.

Resolution

  1. Open Windows File Explorer
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Kiwi Syslog Web Access\html\App_Data (this is where you can find the System.sdf file (Default location))
  3. Create a copy of the App_Data folder
  4. Save the backup on a different location or directory
NOTE: If the App_Data folder is not found in the default location, possibly that default location was not used to install Kiwi Web Access.
