Back up LA full-text search catalogs

This article describes how to back up full-text catalogs in the Log Analyzer (LA), formerly Log Manager for Orion,  SQL database.

Log Analyzer

Before you back up your full-text search catalogs, run the query below to determine which file groups contain full-text search indexes.
 

1. Navigate to the server hosting your LA database.
2. Search for Database Manager.

   Note: You can also start the Database Manager in the Advanced Features folder by navigating to Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager.

3. When the application loads, click Add Server, and then open the OrionLog database.
4. Right-click the database, select New Query, and then run the following SQL query:

   SELECT * FROM sys.filegroups f, sys.fulltext_indexes i 
   WHERE f.data_space_id = i.data_space_id 
   and i.object_id in(select object_id from sys.objects where name like 'OrionLog_LogEntryMessage_%')
