Availability charts show 100% even when the node went down within the same time period in Orion

This article discusses a discrepancy of data between Node Availability charts and Node Down events in the web console.

Overview

When reviewing availability data and historical events that happened on a node in the web console, you may notice the Node Availability charts show 100% even if the events show the node went down within the same time period.

Cause

Node Warning Level is shorter than the Default Node Poll Interval settings.

Resolution

Set your Node Warning Level equal to the Default Node Poll Interval under Polling Settings

In your web console, navigate to Settings > All Settings > Polling Settings
Look for Default Node Poll Interval and Node Warning Level and set them to equal values
NOTE: Default Node Poll Interval and Node Warning Level is set to 120 seconds by default
Click Submit and allow some time for the changes to take effect
