EOC auto login returns session timeout for the Orion website

A timeout error is received when users click on a node in EOC that is associated with the Orion server and "Allow SolarWinds Server auto-login" is set to Yes.

Overview

When EOC has "Allow SolarWinds Server auto-login" set to yes and a user clicks on a node in EOC that is associated with the Orion server, a timeout is received.

Cause

Session timeout is enabled for the Orion account in EOC.

Resolution

Disable session timeout for the Orion account being used by EOC

Disabling session timeout prevents the system from automatically logging out users due to inactivity. Users are able to maintain access to the system until they manually log out from their account in the web console.

Log in to the Orion web console with an administrator account.
Under Settings, click All Settings. Navigate to User Accounts, and then click Manage Accounts.
Select the applicable account name, and click Edit.
Change the option for "Disable Session Timeout" to Yes.
