This article describes an issue where Appinsight for Exchange may appear as unknown in the Web Console.

Cause

  • Full Language Mode was changed to Restricted Mode on the Exchange Server.
  • The following error is found in the logs where our script trys to execute:
    Script block literals are not allowed in restricted language mode or a Data section

Resolution

  1. On the target machine, please navigate to:
    IISManager > Sites > default > Powershell > Application Settings, and Add/Change PSLanguageMode to FullLanguage
  2.  Run from the command prompt, IISRESET with administrator privileges
