Monitoring Windows Server components(e.g. Powershell Monitor, AppInsight for IIS, etc) may generate the error message below:

Failed to connect to the remote server, the following error message was returned: WinRM client received an HTTP status code 403 from the remote WS-Management service

Cause

A proxy is configured in SAM server for WinHTTP connections

Resolution

Reset winhttp proxy settings to enable SAM to connect directly to target servers

In the SAM server, run Command Prompt as Administrator
Execute the command below

netsh winhttp reset proxy
