Cause

  • Credentials configured does not have access to the target server's administrative share
  • Incorrect format of credentials configured

Resolution

Verify that the credentials configured has access to the remote server's administrative share. This Thwack discussion(content provided by user omri, available at https://thwack.solarwinds.com/, obtained on January 20, 2020) has a tool for enabling remote execution for a local account on the target server

Local accounts can also be formatted with a period(.) instead of the target server's name. For example: .\Administrator vs LocalServer\Username
