AppInsight for IIS indicates is showing a 403 Not Authorized message when the Require SSL option is selected in the IIS configuration.

Cause

The port that the SSL is trying to communicate with needs to be configured in the HTTPS Bindings Monitor.

Resolution

On the AppInsight for IIS monitor > Click into a one of your websites which is effected
In the top right corner click edit Thresholds
Click the + sign for the HTTPS / HTTP Bindings component monitor.
Click the Override Template button for the URL and specify the correct port.
