SQL Server Agent process is not monitored by Appinsight for SQL

Overview
AppInsight for SQL has been enabled on the Settings > All Settings > SAM Settings > Manage Templates page in the Orion Web Console, but the SQL Server Agent process (SQLAGENT.EXE) is not being monitored on some database servers.
After being applied to a node either manually or via the Discovery Wizard , the AppInsight for SQL template becomes monitored as an application and multiple component monitors — including one for the SQL Server Agent — check the health of SQL server instances on the node.
If a component is enabled at the template level, it should also be enabled by default at the node level.
This works correctly when applying the template with the Discovery Wizard but not when applying AppInsight for SQL to a node manually via the Node Details view.

Cause
The system does not correctly detect the SQL process name for the SQL Agent so it cannot define the SQL Server Instance name and template-level settings do not cascade down to the node-level settings as expected.
Resolution
Use the proper SQL instance name in the SQL Server Instance Name field when assigning AppInsight for SQL to the node on the Manage Template page.
