AppData folder is using a lot of disk space on the Patch Manager server

Overview

The %appdata% folder is taking up a lot of space and you cleared packages to free up the space, but the space still shows no significant decrease in size.

Cause

The auto publishing task for third parties is configured and the PM service is running under the 'ewdgs' account or a different service account other than the user who is logged in and running day-to-day tasks in PM. The clear caches, layouts tasks, and packages do not clear this specific folder.

Resolution

Confirmed bug as of 18th Feb 2019 and will be fixed in future version.

Workaround:

Manually clear the contents of the ~\EminentWare\Packages folder for the user profile folder running the Eminent Ware Datagrid service
