This article helps to resolve the issue when users try to access the database details page and it fails with the error:
"An Error has occurred. Error: A query to the SolarWinds information service failed. Click here for details…"

Cause
From the logs, we observe that "The user does not have permission to perform this action."
This indicates that the user account using to access the Database details page in the web console has been limited.
The error is coming from SQL Server, not from your SolarWinds web console user permissions. The SQL login that SolarWinds uses to connect to the database does not have the required "VIEW SERVER STATE / VIEW SERVER PERFORMANCE STATE" permissions on the SQL instance.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, engage your internal DBA team, connect to the SQL Server that hosts the SolarWinds database, open the SolarWinds login, and grant access.

Alternative steps to follow:
1. Access the SQL server that hosts the SolarWinds Platform database and open SQL Management Studio.
2. Edit the user and add it (See the example screenshot below).
3. Open properties of the account used in the Configuration wizard to connect to the SQL server and grant View Server State permission.
4. Click on Ok to apply the permission
