After upgrade to 2024.4, retention settings for AppInsight for SQL were reset to default values

This article describes the workaround for Appinsight for SQL retention settings which were reset to default after upgrade.

Cause

This is a know issue in SAM 2024.4.

Resolution

This issue is addressed in SAM 2025.2. Consider upgrading your environment. If you can't upgrade, please use the workaround below.

Set the retention settings one more time in All Settings → SAM Settings → Data & Database Settings
