Additional poller is out of sync with the time server

The following error occurs when nodes are tested using SNMP credentials that are assigned to additional polling engine - Test Failed. An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner Fault Exception for the fault code and detail. This occurs because the additional server's internal clock is out of sync with the main poller and the database server.

Overview

This article describes an error that occurs when nodes are tested using SNMP credentials that are assigned to an additional polling engine - Test Failed. An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner Fault Exception for the fault code and detail. Cause

The additional server's internal clock is out of sync with the main poller and the database server.

Resolution

Configure the NTP (Network Time Protocol) for all servers in SolarWinds to avoid issue with Time differences - Configure an Authoritative Time Server (© 2018 Microsoft, available at http://support.microsoft.com, obtained on December 7, 2018)
If there is no access to the time server, make sure the time difference between all the SolarWinds servers is not greater than one minute.
