Overview

Starting in 2025.2, on the High Availability (HA) GUI under the Servers tab, additional web servers are now displayed. However, this can be misleading because additional web servers do not support HA configurations. When an additional web server lacks a proper NodeID association in the OrionServers table, its status may appear as "Unknown" in the HA Summary Page. This status reflects the availability or status of the node from the polling engine's perspective, rather than indicating any HA-specific functionality.

Resolution

  1. Add the additional web server as a node in the SolarWinds platform. This will create the necessary NodeID entry in the OrionServers table.
  2. Once added, the polling engine will monitor the node's availability, and the status in the HA Summary Page will update accordingly based on the node's actual state.

Note: Since additional web servers do not support HA, this configuration is solely for monitoring purposes and does not enable HA features on these servers.
