Additional Web Server and Additional Polling Engine cannot be installed on the same node

An Additional Polling Engine (APE) cannot co-exist on the same server as an Additional Web Server (AWS) or the primary polling engine. All objects must be installed on their own nodes.

Cause

Additional polling engines (APEs) are basically used to increase the monitoring capacity of your Orion Platform products and have a different set of requirements.

Resolution

The Additional Web Server (AWS), the Additional Polling Engine (APE) and the primary poller (the main Orion server) must all be on separate nodes. Each instance of an Additional Polling Engine (APE) or Additional Web Server (AWS) must also be on separate nodes.
