Additional Poller upgrade says Main polling engine needs to be upgraded first
When running the Additional Poller upgrade, it shows an error which indicates that the Main Polling engine needs to be upgraded first. The Main Polling engine has been upgraded already, but the Additional Polling engine does not recognize the new version.

Resolution
- On the Main polling engine, go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
- Check what products are installed and those product's versions.
- On the Additional Polling Engine go to
C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion - Look for the Compatibility/PreInstaller log and search for errors like the one below:

regedit. - Go to the branch:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SolarWinds\Orion. - Check if the product from your error, in this case SRM, is listed.
- Right-click the folder for product which causes issues and remove it.
The upgrade on the Additional Polling engine should pass without showing the compatibility error.
