SolarWinds does not support or allow installations of SolarWinds NPM on domain controllers.

There is no issue with adding your Orion server(s) to your Windows domain or within DMZ. When installing the Orion software, it is recommended that a local administrator account is used therefore the proper correct security permissions are applied to the SolarWinds files and folders.
