Add a firmware image extension in NCM

This article provide steps on how to add extension file of images aside from .BIN to be detected when upgrading the node's firmware

Overview

By default when you click scan firmware repository, all files with the .bin extension are displayed and the rest are not.
Starting from Platform version 2019.2 , The advanced configuration has been updated to included a new option named 'FirmwareRepositoryFileExtensions' where you can specify list of file extension to monitor.

Any changes require a restart of the Orion Module Engine service.

go to Orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/Global.aspx (Access the Advanced Configuration settings in the Orion Web Console )
Look for FirmwareRepositoryFileExtensions under NCM.BussinesLayer
Add the extension of your firmware. Semicolon separate the list of file extensions to monitor in the firmware repository.
