Orion Platform support for AWS GovCloud East Region

AWS GovCloud West is currently the only supported region in Orion Platform products that include cloud monitoring, including SAM, NPM, and VMAN. GovCloud East region is not currently supported.

Overview

The AWS GovCloud regions are designed to allow US government agencies and customers to move sensitive workloads into the cloud by addressing their specific regulatory and compliance requirements.

GovCloud can be enabled per the following Instructions.

The Orion Platform products that use cloud monitoring currently only support US GovCloud West region, so that's the only region that can be enabled. The AWS GovCloud East region is not currently supported.

Cause

Support for AWS GovCloud East is not currently available.

Resolution

The only supported region of GovCloud is US GovCloud West (Oregon). To request a new region, and add support for GovCloud East, please vote on the active feature request in Thwack.
