Overview

The Active Alerts Resource does not display any alerts in the Orion Web Console.

Any Orion Module which uses Web Based Alerts (NPM 12.3 or above)

Message in the Active Alerts resource on the web console:

An error has occurred

Orion Platform

Cause

There is a module installed in Orion which is no longer present. Typically, it would of been an old Evaluation of a Product no longer installed.

These old modules would have alerts present in the database under the old alerting engine. These alerts stay in the old alerting engine and never get moved.

Resolution

Remote Desktop to the Orion Server.
Open the old Alert Manager ({Installation directory}\Orion\AlertManager.exe).
Configure Alerts.
Delete all alerts related to modules which are no longer installed.
