Cause

Following the recent changes where NetApp switched the communication to HTTP instead of HTTPS, it will happen that with some NetApp applicants FS Logga will no longer work because ARM by default initiates the HTTPS connection.

Resolution

To solve this problem, starting from the release 2021.4.0.218 we have introduced the configuration switch which can force the connection mode to HTTP instead.

To set this, please follow the steps below:
  • Turn Off FS Logga from the ARM Configuration under scans
  • Change pnTracer.config.xml on the collector where FS Logga will run.
  • The location of the file should be C:\ProgramData\protected-networks.com\8MAN\cfg, and if the file is missing, it must be created.

    The content of the file should be as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

<config>
   <tracer>
        <netapp>
            <useHttpForOnTapi type="System.Boolean">true</useHttpForOnTapi>
        </netapp>
   </tracer>
</config>
  • Save the file
  • Start the FS Logga from the ARM Configuration under scans
  • Check the successful start in the ARM logbook.
