API-based monitoring for Aruba SD-WAN devices
For Aruba devices, you can poll edge nodes as API-only nodes. Edge devices can also be polled as SNMP nodes but edge devices are not linked to an orchestrator in any manner and you will thus get no SD-WAN data.

Notes
- In SolarWinds Platform 2025.2, network topology was added via API
- Aruba EdgeConnect Orchestrator REST API were changed in Orchesator 9.3 and above. Fixes were implemented in SolarWinds Platform 2024.2 and above.
- SNMP polling for edge nodes provides basic details. No SD-WAN data will be available.
- API-only polling for edge nodes provides both basic details and SD-WAN details.
- API-only polling for interfaces and interface traffic does not provide all the properties you can get via SNMP. See Monitor Aruba interfaces. For example, API-only monitoring does NOT provide information on duplex mismatch or interface speed. To monitor interface utilization, set the bandwidth of the interface manually.
