SAM application monitors return "timeout occurred during execution" messages after applying a Windows Update

Cause

A security patch included in a Windows Update may have interrupted SolarWinds Platform agent polling.

Resolution

Repair the SolarWinds Platform agent software installed on affected servers

  1. Download the agent installer file on the web console under Settings > All Settings > Manage Agents > Download Agent Software
  2. Move the agent installer file locally to the affected servers
  3. Right-click > Properties > Unblock
  4. Right-click > Repair
  5. Follow on-screen instructions to finish repair

Note: Antivirus software installed on servers that host SolarWinds Platform agents can impact functionality.
