Cause

The License Recycling check is to ensure that old devices which may have been removed from the network or are on DHCP are not taking up SEM licenses.

Resolution

  1. Open the SEM Console.
  2. On the SEM toolbar, navigate to Manage > Appliances, and then click the License tab in the Properties pane.
  3. Scroll down to the License Recycling settings.
  4. Verify that License Recycling is enabled, and then adjust the time frame according to your preference.

When checking the time frame options, please allow for the weekend or bank holidays. Four days is often sufficient, but there is no standard answer to this.
