404-File Not Found ,Ooops…. Unable to access the required path '/apps/udt/apps/platform/not-found' Message: ‘Required path does not exist’ when navigating to UDT Device inventory or User Inventory

After upgrading SolarWinds User Device Tracker (UDT) to version 2025.4.1, users may find that the Device Inventory and User Inventory pages are unavailable or display no data. This issue has been confirmed as a product bug affecting environments immediately following the upgrade. The impact is that administrators and users cannot view or manage device/user inventory, which can disrupt network monitoring and troubleshooting workflows

Overview

After upgrading to 2025.4.1 when navigating to UDT Device Inventory and User Inventory Views

You will see a message

404-File Not Found ,Ooops….
Unable to access the required path '/apps/udt/apps/platform/not-found'
Message: ‘Required path not exist’

The root cause is a missing user setting in the database that controls access to UDT inventory features. Specifically, the setting 'UDT.UdtAllowInventoriesAccess' is not present in the [dbo].[WebUserSettings] table for affected users after the upgrade. Without this setting, the Device Inventory and User Inventory pages will not display data.

Cause

The upgrade to UDT 2025.4.1 does not automatically create the required 'UDT.UdtAllowInventoriesAccess' setting for all user accounts. This setting is necessary for users to access the Device and User Inventory features. If it is missing, the inventory pages will not load or will appear empty

Resolution

A fix for this issue is planned for a future release of UDT. In the meantime, use the workaround below.

Manual Fix via Web Console (for individual users)

  1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Manage Accounts.
  3. Select the affected user account (e.g., Admin).
  4. Click Edit, then click Submit (no changes required).
    • This action creates the missing 'UDT.UdtAllowInventoriesAccess' setting for the user.
  5. Reload the UDT Device Inventory or User Inventory page.
    • The inventory should now be visible.
