These system requirements define the minimum requirements for ipMonitor 10.8.3

Software requirements

Set up your SolarWinds ipMonitor server using the following software requirements.

Windows Server 2008 R2

Windows Server 2012 R2

Windows Server 2016

Windows 8 Windows 10

Windows 2012 with .NET Framework 3.5 (required)

Web browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later

Google Chrome

Apple Safari

SSL certificates

Valid certificates:

  • Self-signed certificates
  • CA certificates (such as VeriSign)

After you install the software, you can select the available certificates from the Local Machine certificate store.

Hardware requirements

Set up your SolarWinds ipMonitor server using the following minimum hardware requirements.

CPU Single core 2.0 GHz
Hard drive space 240 MB
Memory 512 MB
Monitors Up to 2500
ADO and ADO User Experience monitors

MDAC 2.6 SP2 or later

MDAC is now called WDAC for Windows Server 2008

Port requirements

ipMonitor uses the following local ports:

  • HTTP Port (default is 8080 and TCP 443 for SSL or administrator assigned).
