There is an issue with Internet Explorer 7.0 where it will not preserve the login credentials provided to a web site that uses Digest Authentication. As a result, every request to the web site is followed by a login prompt. In order to rectify this, you will need to download and install the KB904942 fix provided by Microsoft.
