Troubleshoot email delivery within ipMonitor

1. Gather the following information:

Under 'Configuration -> Site Settings -> Email Delivery'

  • IP address/Domain Name
  • TCP Port


Within the parameters for the Email Action:

  • Mail From Address
  • Mail To Address


2. On the ipMonitor system, open a CMD prompt.
3. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each one:

telnet [IP Address] [Port]
helo
mail from: [Mail From Address]
rcpt to: [Mail To Address]
data
testing...
1
2
3
testing...

.

At this point the email should be queued for delivery to the Mail To address.
