Overview

This article provides steps to enter a new Activation Key created within Customer Portal to ipMonitor. 

Environment

  • ipMonitor version 10 or later
  • All Windows versions

Steps

There are 2 ways to renew the maintenance within your product:

 

Via the ipMonitor Configuration program:\

  1. Go to Start > Programs > Solarwinds ipMonitor > Configure ipMonitor.
  2. Click Software Licensing.
  3. Click Enter new License Key.
  4. Enter the new Activation Key found within the Custom Portal at http://customerportal.solarwinds.com and click Next.
  5. Enter your information and click Next.
  6. Restart the ipMonitorSrv service.

 

OR

 

Via the Solarwinds License Manager

  1. Go to Start > Program > Solarwinds > Solarwinds License Manager.
  2. Select the ipMonitor product and click Renew.
  3. In the new window, click Upgrade.
  4. Enter the new Activation Key found within the Custom Portal at http://customerportal.solarwinds.com and click Next.
  5. Enter your information and click Next.
  6. Restart the ipMonitorSrv service.
