MAPI User Experience Error: The remote device timed out before sending a response

To Resolve:

Create a "user" that is a member of the Local Administrator's group on the ipMonitor system.

Then, try the following exercise to see if ipmext_mapi.exe successfully deletes the email:

  1. Run the Exchange Round Trip Wizard in order to have it send a test email.
  2. Login to the ipMonitor system as the user.
  3. Open the email from within Outlook and copy the subject of the email received.
  4. Open a CMD prompt.
  5. Go to the \program files\solarwinds\ipmonitor\ directory.
  6. Type the following command:

  7. ipmext_mapi.exe -s "[subject]" -t 300000 ***Replace [subject] with the copied subject line***

  8. Press Enter.
