Unable to restart a service using ipMonitor

Environment

All ipMonitor versions

Details

  1. Open ipMonitor.
  2. Click the Configuration tab and select Alert List.
  3. Click Force Test.

    If the procedure fails, go to step 4.

  4. Open a command prompt window.
  5. Execute:
     runas /user:[domain\user] cmd.exe
    

    where domain\user represents the account used by the credential assigned to the restart service action.

  6. When prompted, enter a password.
  7. In the new command window, execute:
    sc \\[remotesys] stop [servicename]
    

    where remotesys is the system hosting the service you wish to restart.and servicename is the service you are attempting to control using ipMonitor
