WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

Overview

This article provides information about legacy licenses in ipMonitor that are unlimited and new licenses that have a 500 monitoring limit.

Environment

All versions of ipMonitor

Detail

This issue can occur when migrating a system with an unlimited license before the license has been applied. If a system is migrated and running as an evaluation, the 500 monitor limit is in effect and you may see some monitors missing or inactive. The solution for this is to apply the license key.

If the maintenance expires on an unlimited license and it has been renewed, it would be a limited license. If maintenance is renewed prior to expiracy, the unlimited license is maintained.
