IpMonitor displays a MAPI user experience error

The following error message displays in the ipMonitor Web Console:

MAPI User Experience Error: The remote device timed out before sending a response.


All ipMonitor versions


On the ipMonitor system, create a user that is a member of the Local Administrator's group on the ipMonitor system. When you are finished, perform the following steps to verify if ipmext_mapi.exe successfully deletes the email. 

  1. Run the Exchange Round Trip Wizard and send a test email.
  2. Log in to the ipMonitor system as the user.
  3. Open the email from within Microsoft Outlook and copy the subject content.
  4. Open a command prompt window.
  5. Navigate to:

    \program files\solarwinds\ipmonitor\

  6. Execute:

    ipmext_mapi.exe -s "[subject]" -t 300000

    where subject is the text from the Subject field in the email.

  7. Click Enter.
