This article describes how to install and configure SNMP services on ipMonitor.

Steps

  1. Install the SNMP service. (© 2018 Microsoft Corporation, available at https://www.microsoft.com/, obtained on September 24, 2018).
  2. Configure the SNMP security properties. (© 2018 Microsoft Corporation, available at https://www.microsoft.com/, obtained on September 24, 2018).
  3. Using the information in this article, set the community name and host list. Verify that the following options are set:
    • Deselect Send Authentication Trap
    • Accepted Community Names: Verify that at least one community is defined that has at least Read Only rights
    • Accept SNMP Packets from any host or verify that ipMonitor's primary IP address is listed
