How to log in to ipMonitor as an anonymous user

This article describes how to create a guest account that allows you to access ipMonitor anonymously with limited access.


All ipMonitor versions


IpMonitor does not provide anonymous access. However, you can create a guest account with limited access permissions. This account requires a password.

To create a guest account with guest as the password:

  1. Log in to ipMonitor with an administrator account.
  2. Click the Configuration tab.
  3. Click System Settings.
  4. Select the Force Strong Passwords box, and then select No.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Account List > Add Account.
  7. In the Account Name box, enter:
  8. In the Your Current Password box, enter the administrator password.
  9. In the New Password and Confirm Password boxes, enter:
  10. Click OK.
  11. In the Account Name list, click guest.
  12. Click Demote to Guest, and then click OK.
